Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) Technology

Green Technology in NexGen Energy Space

pic-4Dominovas Energy Corp has eagerly embraced the opportunity to support and deploy a “NextGen” clean energy, maximally efficient, solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology, the RUBICON™, as designed by world-renown scientist and engineer, Shamiul Islam, PhD. As a concepted, developed, tested, and deployed fuel cell under the stringent auspices of Dr. Islam and our OEM partners, Dr. Islam’s work exemplifies “true leadership and collaboration” in the fuel cell “NextGen” energy space.

In today’s challenging marketplace, consumers are spending their money on “Green.” By “greening” residential communities, recreational parks, corporate offices, retail sites, industrial complexes, and distribution centers, governments, and companies are demonstrating a commitment to their customers, employees, and local communities to reduce atmospheric pollutants. Fuel cells are leading the charge into this new era of “Green Technology.”

Companies, worldwide, are making the transition to fuel cell systems. In the 2008 Fuel Cell Technologies Market Report, it was stated that “Green” companies are retaining old customers and attracting new ones. In fact, industry giants are now attesting to the fact that fuel cells have a tremendously positive environmental impact. Whether they are companies in production: Nissan North America, and Michelin; consumer goods: Coca Cola, Nestle Waters, and Pepperidge Farms; distribution: Martin-Brower, Sysco, FedEx, and UPS; retail giants: IKEA, Staples, Safeway, and Whole Foods; or telecom giants: Sprint, Verizon, and Motorola, it is evident these benefits are felt respectively by the company, its employees, the community, the nation, and globally.

Additionally, global concerns about climate change, energy security, and air pollution are driving demand for fuel cell technology. More than 630 companies and laboratories in the United States are investing over $1 billion a year in fuel cells or fuel cell component technologies, according to Fuel Cells 2000. Companies, including major grocery chains, hotels, distributors, telecom companies, manufacturers, and many others, that implement fuel cell systems are finding them to be exceptionally efficient and cost effective.

Why Fuel Cells?

As reported in a September 2010 study as reported on, “Why Top Companies are Purchasing Fuel Cells Today”, “Fuel cells generate electricity with near zero emissions and provide not only environmental savings, but also productivity improvements: time, cost and manpower savings. No other energy generating technology offer the product range and combination of benefits as do fuel cells.” Where there is a capital cost differential, companies are finding that the equipment’s lifetime expense, including operating costs and maintenance costs, are much lower than the competing traditional combustion energy generators. The additional benefits of high reliability, silent operation, faster fueling, and constant, high-quality uninterrupted power, are factors that ultimately tip the balance in favor of fuel cells.

These same factors indicate precisely why Dominovas Energy Corp’s RUBICON™ fuel cell system is quickly becoming the “PLATINUM Standard” by which all other fuel cell technologies are measured. The RUBICON™ is far superior to any other system on the market today, and Dominovas Energy’s ability to produce a fuel cell that supports multiple fuel sources is invaluable to meet the demands of a fuel diverse market.

The RUBICON™ fuel cell is proving itself as the leader of the pack and has by-passed the green energy banquet buffet and all the appetizer entrants; it is the “entrée” being presented as the main course at the formerly empty table of viable global energy solutions. The RUBICON™ given its patented and technologically advanced design is perfectly suited to performing as a standalone, multi-array, mega- watt distributive energy solution. It can also be integrated into existing fossil fuel-powered mega-watt power plant systems to produce greater efficiency via available fuel stock, along with a significant reduction in emissions.
